8th USA Parliament Environmental Minister Marla Ingles [Independent] is the only female candidate AND the only independent candidate in a five-way race in the upcoming October 4th, 2011 special election for governor of West Virginia.

When I called Marla on the phone today, she said something to the effect that the three alternative candidates are being censored and left out of the debates.

With less than 24 days before the election, the USA Parliament isn't organized enough to help her get elected.

If there was a way that third parties and independents could coordinate better, to gain fair representation for the under-represented segments of independents and third party voters and candidates, we would certainly love to try. In our last two elections, ss11-6 and ss12, only 0% to 1% of the votes went to Democratic and Republican names.

Too few debate organizers, candidates and establishment media outlets understand the mechanics of plurality voting and single-winner districts, which cause 99% of the electorate to go unrepresented.

Under plurality elections, the Democratic and Republican Parties have a 50/50 chance to win and the debate organizers, candidates and the establishment media outlets don't have any incentive to try to work with alternative candidates because of some sort of vested interested in the status-quo.
